Report of Youth Festival Activities

1) 2021-2022 Youth festival:

Youth Festival is distinctive platform provided for the youth of the region studying in different colleges affiliated to university. It is an annual gathering of youth with various activities including competitive ones like drama, skit, mime, debate, elocution competition, folk dance, classical music, western music, poster making, Mehandi and Rangoli etc. It includes in all 27 cultural events and it’s proud to mention that from the academic year 2021-22 the University Authority has decided to specially honor the first three winners from each competition by giving away trophies. These winners will be declared after the tough competition for each event judged by respectable panel of judges. The college winning maximum trophies will be declared as the winner of general championship trophy.

In the session of 2021-22 Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati has organized an inter-collegiate youth festival at Brijlalal Biyani Science college Amravati from 19 April 2021 to 23 April 2021. The total of 22 students of our college, Matoshree Vimalabai Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya Amravati participated in the festival which included competitions for Mehandi, Folk dance , Rangoli, Elocution , Debate, Collage , Cartooning , On the spot painting , Western Solo and Poster making.

With the vision of overall development of the students, the Government of Maharashtra conducts various activities such as “Avishkar” in the field of science, “Ashwamedh” in the field of sports and “Indradhanushya” in the field of culture. For this, inter-collegiate competitions are organized at the University level mainly -

5. On the spot painting
6. Clay modeling
7. Cartooning
8. Rangoli

A total of 22 students from our college, Matoshree Vimalabai Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya, have participated in art forms such as Mehandi, Folk dance , Rangoli, Elocution , Debate, Collage , Cartooning , On the spot painting , Western Solo, Poster making and Indian group dance, out of a total of no students from our college.
